A performer carries 2000lbs of Chesapeake Bay clay down a set of stairs and stacks it in a rectangular pile in a subterranean courtyard. There is a plastic reservoir bulging with water hung inside a metal table frame. A trickle of water seeps from the reservoir and wets the edge of the clay on its way to a drain in the ground. The elements are arranged by human action, set in place to run their course and illuminate their relationships. Quarry explores ecological relationships within the built environment with human action as the driving force.
